This week, Manufacturers + Designers Connect’s project leader, Katharine Tessier, and art director, Caley Tessier, hosted a meeting with the participating designers.

M+Dc is thrilled to have Derek McLeod, Alissa Coe, Vincent Joseph Monastero, and Maiwenn Castellan design items exclusively for the Manufacturers + Designers Connect’s premier exhibition titled Near Here.  New designs for the project were discussed. We talked about how each proposed design considered the materials and processes of the participating manufacturers.

The project is progressing nicely. All the designs will be ready to begin the pre-production phase at the beginning of November.
